While Luann Pleasant commissioned me to do a painting of her Lab Cooper at the 2005 National Open in Cheraw, it wasn't until a year later that we were able to get together in Thomasville, GA to make it happen. The background is actually Mike Lardy's place near Boston, GA. This is one of my favorite portraits and I'm very glad Luann decided to go with this pose. It's done in oil, and by the time I completed this, I was becoming very comfortable with the medium again.
