I love the Iowa State Fair. It is the mother of all state fairs. The movie "State Fair" is about the Iowa State Fair. Nothing compares. So at literally the last minute, I submitted this entry into the fine arts competition. This is my daughter when she was younger. The retriever is from Georgia. I won best watercolor last time I entered in the late 70's so I am hoping to keep my winning streak going.

On to several more paintings over the summer. I have a "M*A*S" studio. "Mobile Artist's Studio." In the summer, I migrate downstairs to the unfinished basement because it is too hot in the studio upstairs. Also going with me is my little TV so I can watch my old movies while I paint. This would also be considered a redneck studio, because the TV at the bottom no longer works, the TV in the middle works, but only with an antenna (it is my high school art teacher's old TV ca 1979), and the little one at the top works fine.
